A cryogenic air separation plant is a complex industrial facility that separates the components of air (mainly nitrogen, oxygen, and argon) from each other by cooling the air to very low temperatures (-196°C) and then boiling off the different gases at their respective boiling points. 
The plant mainly consists of air compressor, purification unit, heat exchanger, distillation columns, and cryogenic storage tanks. The separation of air components has a variety of uses in industries such as chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and steel production.
